Review The Vibrancy: Special Event for Let's Gather Together： Literature Exhibition for Fashion Art of China and Korea-时装艺术国际同盟

With the warmth of spring wind and the fragrance of flowers, In the afternoon of April 8, 2023, the special event for exhibition artists & participants of Special exhibition for the 30th anniversary of China and Korea diplomatic relations – Let's Gather Together： Literature Exhibition for Fashion Art of China and Korea was held at the China Ethnic Museum ( Taiwan Exhibition Hall ) in Beijing.

The event was co-organized by the Chinese Cultural Heritage Protection Foundation, the International Fashion Art Network (IFAN), the Central Academy of Fine Arts, CICG Asia-Pacific, and Honam University in Korea.

This literature exhibition took fashion art as a clue to sort out the historical lineage of art communication between China and Korea, it presented the glorious history of fashion art developed by the joint efforts of Chinese and Korean artists. The exhibition was a documentary record of the times and technological changes in the development of fashion art during the period of 1992 to 2022: from wearable clothes to unwearable clothes, from physical garments to virtual garments, and from traditional techniques to technology-enabled fashion, major units of the exhibition content included ready-made materials, paper as the material, material replacement, inherited tradition, modern innovation, museum collections, auction and private collections, re-designed clothing elements, installation space, technology iteration, and virtual fashion, etc.

Professor Lv Yue, Chairperson of the IFAN, founder and discipline leader of the CAFA Fashion Design Department, led the guided tour of the exhibition. The event invited members of the IFAN, exhibition artists in Beijing, as well as supporters, practitioners and promoters who continue to speak up for the development of fashion art. Together, we promote evolution in communication and gather strength in progress.

The IFAN has always maintained its passion and professionalism for fashion art and will continue to bring new energy into the development of fashion art.
